My passion for Beauty and Makeup began as a hobby. I mean, which girl in the world doesn't like to look great? I attended the High School of Fashion Industries and this place introduced me to many things I now love. Makeup was once something I rarely thought about, the most I would do was eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. As my time in High School progressed, my sense of life evolved with it. Fashion became part of my life, and along with that came makeup. I researched many makeup artist, but never did anything serious about my passion for it. 

But one very boring winter day in bed I was going through an Allure issue and was blown away by the simplicity of Lea Michele's makeup on the cover. Simple, clean, yet sharp. Yes, it was a simple photo that brought me in, and not a crazy runway look. But that was it. that was all I needed to realize, I can do that, I can do that and so much more. I began browsing Youtube videos on makeup looks and it felt like love at first sight. I started reading books and searching the internet to learn more about the industry. For the most part I was self taught--but that wasn't enough for me.

Before I knew it I was on the phone with a beauty school setting up an appointment. Empire Beauty School opened its arms to me and taught me more and more about what I love. I learned not only about being hands on, but about the history of makeup, important figures in the industry, tricks to help me progress, connections to help me get my feet wet. It was one of the best choices I have made and I am considering on returning and acquiring my Cosmetology License.

I am currently a Freelance Makeup Artist in New York City. I have done photo shoots, special events, and personal appointments. I must say that I absolutely love doing makeup and enhancing someone's beauty, but my favorite part of it all is experiencing the joy on a client's face. I created this blog in order to share everything I love, know, and am intrigued by when it comes to beauty. My ultimate goal is to own my own Beauty Business and help people feel great about themselves.
